Manchester United Could To Do Business With Italian Giants As Agent Confirms Deal Is Likely

Manchester United’s winger Nani may be one of several people that may be on their way out of the club this summer. The player’s agent Andrea Pastorello did little to dispel the rumours. Talking to violanews.com he said; "Nani is a very important player and at this time the only thing I can say is that he is likely to leave Manchester,"

The player’s agent said this while speaking to a Fiorentina’s fan website that reported a move by the Portuguese international to a Serie A side.  Fiorentina are said to be in the pole position to sign the player.

Nani’s team mate Anderson is currently on loan I Florence and Pastorello says any talks in future would involve both Anderson and Nani.

But one thing may be standing in the way of such move - money. “The problem for Fiorentina and other Italian clubs is the player’s salary," the agent said. "But we will evaluate all bids.

“Our relationship with United is great. Fiorentina have to speak with Manchester United about Anderson and maybe there will be an opportunity to talk about Nani, too.”

Should Nani eventually leave United this summer, would he be sorely missed? Personally I don’t think so. Nani has been a dead weight in the cog of our progress so far. His performance has been very erratic.

The days he does well, his touches are absolutely masterful. But the truth is, such performances are quite few and very far between. We need to get rid of him fast. And not just Nani. Tom Cleverly, Valencia, Chris Smalling must all be shipped out too. Keeping Nani and most of these underperforming players is just going to prolong our days of poor performance, bad results and it would keep us longer in the middle of the league table.
