40m Rated Star Ready To Push Through Manchester United Move - Reports

Manchester United may soon have something to cheer as their long term transfer target Toni Kroos of Bayern Munich was reported to have told his team mates that he’s determined to push through a £40 million move to Old Trafford.

The future of the German international who is expected to lead Germany's charge for glory at Brazil 2014 word cup has been the subject of intense debate as his contract enters into his final year after this summer. Kroos is yet to reach any agreement with his club over contract extension.

The grid lock in Kroos’ contract extension has bettered United’s chances of landing the player. They are reported to be preparing a bid in the region of £40 million. The player would be expected to earn £200,000 per week should he agree to sign for United.

According to reports by The Mirror, the German champions are willing to hold on to their start players even at the risk of letting him go for free when his contract with them expires. The 24 year old midfielder is reported to have told his team mates that he’s determined to make the move to Old Trafford this summer.

But why would Toni Kroos want to leave playing for arguably the best club in the world, the current German and UEFA champions for United who may not even qualify to play in the UEFA champions League next season?

Well the lure of the huge pay as well as the desire to be main man in United as against playing behind the shadows of Bastian Schweinsteiger and the likes in Bayern Munich are some of the reasons that are fuelling the player’s interest.

If this report is anything to go by, our midfield would be better for it. With the likes of Mourane Fellaini and Tom Cleverly playing below par, Kroos inclusion would be a welcome development to the cause of Manchester United.
