This may not have been the best of seasons for Man United, but there is all to play for even as the league draws to a close.
Everton on the other hand, have been having the season of their lives, and perhaps, all to play for as they hope to consolidate their grip on the 4th position at the expense of the Gunners. To register their determination to “gate-crash” the top 4 this season, they dealt the Gunners a massive blow two Saturdays ago by winning 3-0 at Goodison Park against the North London outfit.
They haven’t lost in their last 7 outings, which gives them some psychological edge, but that is not an indication that Man United will fall a second time to this season. We take a look at 5 reasons why we think Manchester United will beat Everton this Sunday.
Pride
Having lost in the first round of matches at home to Roberto Martinez’s side; the players have all to play for. Losing again a second time is not an option for the reigning Premier League Champions. They are probably going to come out as wounded lions this time around and seek their revenge.
Good away form
David Moyes’ team probably has the best away record in the league; and I don’t see that dropping at any point at Goodison Park this time around.
All to play for
Only 7 points separate 5th placed Arsenal and Man United, and they may just do themselves a massive favour by beating Everton in order to close the gap, while hoping that the Gunners who are experiencing a dip in form drop points against other teams.
Freshness
The Man United team are more likely to turn our fresh than Everton, who have an massive match to play against Crystal Palace in midweek. Moreover, Everton do not have the luxury of playing just the single match unlike Man United.
The experience of finishing the season strong
Man United have a reputation of always finishing the season very strong; and things may not be different this time around as they hope to finish in a more respectable position on the league table.
Do you agree with those 5 reasons?
